Metal Shaping Processes ReviewI'm an electrical engineer by training, needing to get more informed about sheet metal fabrication and other metal working processes (casting, extrusion and machining). I came across Boljanovic via some online research and decided to give his text a try. I haven't made it all the way through (have read 50 of 420+ pp so far), but it has been quite informative thusfar. The math is reasonable to follow and the book is well organized. Subsequently, I saw a mechanical engineering colleague's copy of Manufacturing Engineering and Technology by Kalpakjian and Schmid which covers more processes -- I'd recommend either and hopefully will get a chance to see a manufacturing operation with these processes in action!Metal Shaping Processes OverviewAs the only comprehensive text focusing on metal shaping processes, which are still the most widely used processes in the manufacture of products and structures, Metal Shaping Processes carefully presents the fundamentals of metal shaping processes with their relevant applications.
